Georgina P. Blach Intermediate School, located in the southern portion of Los Altos, California, is one of two middle schools (7th-8th grade) and seven elementary schools (Transitional Kindergarten - 6th grade) that make up the Los Altos School District (LASD).

In 2014, Blach Intermediate School was selected as a National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education. In 2023, the California Distinguished Schools program recognized Blach for its excellent work by analyzing data reported through the 2022 CDE Dashboard. California Superintendent of Schools, Tony Thurmond, announced the awards on January 6, 2023, stating: “California Distinguished Schools represent examples of not just excellent teaching, learning, and collaboration, but also highly successful, data-driven school efforts ranging from professional development for educators to mental health and social-emotional wellness strategies to address the needs of students and families.”
