The CHICKEN LAUNCH is on for today at lunch. At the end of the competition we will know the overall winners from the first round of “launching”. The second round will begin next month.

Congrats to the Blach Staff for their basketball win yesterday. A big thank you to all the participants as well as to Zain, Will, Aaron and Yiming for their help. The next round of Noon League will begin soon.

Congratulations to the 8th grade boys soccer team who finished off their season with a resounding win over Kennedy 4-0. Strong defense and 2 goals each scored by Bobby and Kieran. Thanks to Ashwin, Aidan, Connor, Jerek, Kourosh, Oscar, James, Trevor, Zain, Kamron, Max and Kieran for their hard work this season!

7th Grade Girls Basketball won against Kennedy 41-26 to finish undefeated for the regular season. Great offense by Audrey, Stephanie, Kaitlyn, and Ellie. Great hustle by Alyssa, Janvi and Lydia. The team will play its first playoff game at home on
Tuesday. Hope to see you there.

The long awaited game between the 8th grade NOON LEAGUE champions from Mather and the Blach Staff will take place at 1:15 tomorrow on center court. Be sure to come and watch!

Friday the CHICKEN LAUNCH will return to crown the champions in all divisions: boys, girls, boys and girls combined and staff. Sign ups will take place before it begins.

This is the moment you have all been waiting for - the moment the homeroom competition winners are announced. Before announcing the homerooms, let’s be reminded of the prizes. Not only does the first place homeroom have the honor to keep

the Superclass Trophy for the next semester, they also receive a HOMEROOM PARTY courtesy of LEADERSHIP. These prizes are given upon request. Attention 8th graders: On Tuesday, February 3rd, the counselors from Los Altos High School and Mountain View High School will be here to go over registration procedures for classes for next year. You will meet with them instead of going to your first period class. There will be 2 classrooms for Los Altos High School and 5 for Mountain View and you will be assigned rooms alphabetically. Since the counselors are bringing packets for you, it is important to go to the assigned room.

Room assignments are posted in 8th grade History, Science, English and Math classes. If you are not sure which high school you are slated to attend or if you have any questions, see Dr. Judy.

7th Grade Girls Basketball won against Lawson yesterday 28-19.
Great team effort to keep the team undefeated heading into the final week of the regular season.

Congratulations to the 8th grade boys soccer team who defeated Lawson 2-0 yesterday. Thanks also to Mr. Lewis for excusing some of his band players to miss part of the band bash to play in the game.

Exciting news--we return to school on Wednesday and we start Speech and Debate! If you are interested in Speech and Debate, come to Mrs. Waxman's room (D1) after 7th period on that day and meet the high school team who will be the coaches. See Dr. Moerner if you have any questions.

You missed a "killer" drama performance last night if you were not at the dinner theatre as Mrs. Harris's drama class put on "murderously" good shows! A restaurant scene included the audience taking a "stab" at solving the crime while the other play involved the local inn where people where "dying" to figure out who was the escaped

convict. Congratulations to Mrs. Harris, the drama class, and the families that provided dessert treats which left you "hanging around" last night!

Congratulations to Mrs Chron’s homeroom for its basketball championship win yesterday. They will face Mather next Thursday on center court. This game promises to be amazing!

Attention Second Semester Leadership Students: Please make sure you talk to either Mrs. MacKenzie or Mrs. Honigman today about the Leadership Field Trip. We MUST know by 3pm if you are coming with us or not. If we don’t hear from you, we’ll assume you’ll be attending your regular classes that day. Thank you.

Come out to the quad today at lunch for the last Fun Friday event of the quarter- NAME THAT TUNE. All participating homerooms will earn points with a special prize going to the overall winner.
